2. What diseases are Jim and Nancy at risk for and why?

Jim’s risk is for heart disease due to a mix of his previous heart attack, high blood pressure, and smoking, the exact type will depend on the things in his life he will change such as his smoking and fatty intake, also becoming more active will help as well. If nothing changes he could be looking at cardiovascular disease or even coronary heart disease. The cause of this disease would come from the hearts overworking to pump the blood due to the high blood pressure; this also can result in a stroke (Gerszten, R. E., & Wang, T. J. 2008). Nancy is at risk for heart disease as well, due to all of the same contributors as Jim except, the smoking and she has high cholesterol and triglycerides which may also lead to arthrosclerosis. From what we know Jim did not have these same issues with his tests. She could also be at risk for if she does not already have diabetes due to her high cholesterol and triglyceride levels, which could also lead to blood vessel disease. Nancy has also had a hysterectomy and a family history of Osteoporosis this increases her risk of developing Osteoporosis her estrogen medication may...
