The Perfect Machine

A machine is most commonly constructed from various parts. These many parts, when placed accordingly, work in unison to accomplish the machine’s goal. Each part contributes its own part of the job required to achieve the goal. The universe is similar to a machine in the sense that many things work in accordance to help maintain it as is. If the universe is a big machine than perhaps God was its manufacturer.

The Design Argument for the existence of God is a very intriguing argument. It is based on the “observed orderliness of the universe”. It states that God created the universe and because God is perfect his creation was therefore perfect. Since God’s creation was perfect, it could operate infinitely without God needing to “tinker” with it and God could then leave the creation alone. This argument would explain the apparent order and regularity found on Earth and the Universe.

Have you ever spotted a bee buzzing on top of a flower? The bee would most commonly be collecting nectar from the flower which it uses as food, however, when the bee makes its way on to another flower it will bring with it pollen from the flower that it just collected nectar from. By bringing this pollen with it, the bee will help pollinate other flowers and thus help the flowers “reproduce” and in turn this will provide the bees with more flowers from which to collect food from. This is just one example of one of nature’s many working parts. Perhaps one of the most important is the plants ability to take carbon dioxide, a byproduct of humans and animals, and create Oxygen that humans and animals breathe.

The human body is an intricate creation. It is incredible how all the organs work together and allow an individual to see, feel, hear, talk, eat, and do many other things. Delve deeper into those organs and you will find small microscopic cells that make up these organs. Each of those cells has their task that must be fulfilled in order for the organ to work...
