Part II
Store Managers –Email-to be discussed further face-to-face
To: All Store Managers.
From:, Public Relationship Manager.
Date: August 8, 2010
Subject: Changes in Operations
As many of you are aware, there has been an increase in the gas prices causing higher costs to the company. As a result to the inflation, employees have been affected as well as the company, having the need to make the necessary adjustments
To be able to make the rising cost an easy transition, there are going to be a few internal changes made. Until further notice, the store will be closed on Sundays. The store will be open on Monday through Saturday, opening one hour later and closing one hour earlier. All fulltime employees, including managers will work a four day work week at 10 hours each day. The part-time employees will be required to consolidate their work hours into one, two or three working days each week. Though, these changes may appear to be an unreasonable, for the time being this is the best solution. With the new operation in place, there will not be any store closures nor will any new stores will be opened.
It is expected that the new time of store operations will reduce fuel cost for the managers. Fewer working days mean more time for families. Benefits will remain the same and all fulltime employees are still able to work a 40 hour work week.
Please plan on attending the company meeting scheduled for Monday, November, 20, 2009. Every employee is expected to be in attendance.
