In the song, Amazing, by Aerosmith, one of the lyrics is” Life’s a journey, not a destination.”, and I believe that is absolutely true.

No matter how old you are, life will provide you with new experiences, hardships, and everything in between. Each and every day I am learning to accept whatever comes my way with open arms and take into account all things with an open mind. It’s never too early to start your journey. I have so many things I want to do with my life and goals I have set for myself.Nothing is impossible. As I getting older, I am gradually beginning to come to realization that not everything is going to go my way. That words matter and that everything you do has an effect. This past year, I’ve come across learning experiences left and right. I’ve learned that everyone is going to judge you, whether you do bad or good and that you have to work for what you want. And lastly, these are the years that matter.

The future is now in my hands. It’s all up to me, and only me. Life isn’t easy for anybody, but you can choose to make the best out of it. You make the choices. You choose the paths you will take. You decide whether you are walking on glass or on the clouds. It wasn’t until recently that I’ve decided what I’m going to do with the years to come. From watching movies like …And Justice For All and A Few Good Men and reading books like, To Kill A Mockingbird and Of Mice And Men, I’ve been witnessed to a time where people understood what life is all about. It’s about finding your purpose, doing good for others, and even just getting out there and making every second worth it. A song that has given me a new pair of eyes is Vienna by Billy Joel.

“But you know that when the truth is told.

That you can get what you want or you get old

You're gonna kick off before you even

Get halfway through

When will you realize, Vienna waits for you?”
