My Career Plan Summary

In the completion of my career plan for career interest, competencies, and work culture preferences, I have come to the conclusion of what types of career paths would be well suited for me. The career interest results concluded that I would be well suited for the educational or religious direction. My competency results conclude that a work area that is cooperating, adhering to value, following instructions, applying expertise, organizing, and delivering results are the best. Between my interest and competency results, a school district would be best suited for me. After successfully graduating with my bachelor of business degree, I can obtain a job as an administrator of a campus or for the overall campus. If I furthered my education beyond my bachelors, I could go to become a teacher at a school. My work culture results go on to confirm working with the school district would be great for me because schools are very well resourced, has leadership opportunities, and are supportive of employees. Being well resourced, for example, would be a safe place to work and have a well-designed workplace to do high standard work. Having leadership opportunities gives for an opportunity for supervising others, having a voice to be heard on topics, able to influence decisions at the right moments, contributing to major decisions and strategies, and obtaining a job that others see as important. Lastly, a job that is supportive of employees would mean a person having the security financially and personally, having no conflicting demands, able to have feedback on the work you are doing, and recognition and celebration for the job well done. My ideal job would be the school district as an administrator, or an assistant, or a teacher. This would work around my children’s schedule, my husband’s schedule, and my schedule outside of work.
