Day 1
Stressors
1. One thing that caused me stress today is studying for my Spanish test which is on Wednesday. This is an example of a Thinking Stressor. This caused me stress because there is a lot of content in this chapter so I need to work hard.
2. Another thing that caused me stress today was driving with my dad. I'm not sure but I'm pretty sure this is a example of a Thinking Stressor. This caused me stress because I thought my dad would not like how I drive.
Symptoms of Stress
I realized that I was under stress when I was studying for my Spanish test, when I started to get a minor headache. When I was driving with my dad, I noticed that my heart was beating very fast and I started to tense up.
Eustress or Distress
I thought that for my Spanish studying it was negative stress because since I had a headache it would be hard to concentrate. I think however that me driving with my dad was a positive stress because the raising heart kind of amped me up for the challenge.
Stress Management Technique Used
Well I used the same technique for both of my stressors. I just took slow steady breaths. I just tried to calm down and get under control.
How I feel after stress management technique
After I used my stress management technique, I felt completely different. My headache overtime got better, my heart beat reduced back to a slow steady beat, and I wasn't as tensed up.
