According to ask.com, functions of an organization designs are “group of activities such as, direction, task allocation and synchronization. The organizational structure regulates in what way the organization implements or functions”.

There were many problems/breakdown that the student experienced. The first one the student was experienced was when it took 2 hours to see the whole campus. A trip between two cities can be seen in 2 hours and so there was poor time planning, management and coordination in the system.

There were also flaws in the human resource department because the tour guide wasn’t well trained (as he did not know what he was doing) and lack of confidence and a negative perspective of the whole university, “State University isn’t really a bad place...learn the system”. If an employee doesn’t understand and has low confidence, it is very difficult to convince and create trust from the customers. The tour guide was also not well trained. This is because he did not even know where the lights of the hall were, this is an embarrassing situation for anybody. Very poor orientation training was given to the tour guide.

A poor admissions job was done in designing the application form. It was very confusing for the student to understand and provide the necessary information. This was a flaw in quality as it leads the student calling for help to the office; this is waste to money and time. If it was done correct the first time, it would be less complicated and more effective. Even the parents could not understand the question. There was also poor management of files which lead to many mistakes. The transcript was lost and this was very inconvenient for the student. They had to make calls to the admissions office and to their counselor, waste of time and money.
