Narrative

Presently, I’m a senior at Tularosa High. I’m enrolled at ENMU and majoring in information systems with an emphases on web development. I believe my chosen profession will enable me to fulfill my desire to help others, to expand my knowledge base, and to travel. Throughout my life I have participated in extracurricular activities, including valuable volunteer experiences and athletic activities. Also, I have striven for academic excellence, always wishing to make the most of my education.

Education has always been an important aspect of my life. While in high school I was awarded academic excellence in Algebra I, Geometry, and General Biology. Likewise, I was involved in various sports such as football, track and field, and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Despite the time consuming practices, and athletic events, I was able to maintain an excellent GPA, allowing me to achieve a 3.8. I decided to stay near home and attend ENMU, because of the smaller class sizes, and the excellent program offered in my major.

My goal is to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in four years, so that I can start my career and be financial unrestricted. One of my long term goals is to start a business in IT consulting. When my goals are reached, I will be able to provide something meaningful to others.

A college degree is the only guaranteed way to bring me closer to my goals in life. With a college degree, I will be able to have a brighter future, which will allow me to be a productive member to society and someday be able to give back to others.
