Narendra Modi

India's most controversial politician &, possibly, the country's next prime minister.

SUMMARY

The report briefly summarises the life of Gujarat’s Chief Minister Mr. Narendra Modi with all his achievements, his role in Gujarat’s development and all the controversies which he is and was surrounded with.

Being from a middle class family in Gujarat, Modi entered politics in his teen age and joined R.S.S and later became part of Bhartiya Janata Party. In 2001, he was chosen by the party to be the Chief Minister of Gujarat. He has turned his image from a Hindu Nationalist politician to an image of able administrator.

He has been in many controversies in his entire path of politics till now and has emerged as a leader and able administrator in developing Gujarat state. He has overcome and improved his image which was affected due to the Gujarat riots in 2002 by playing an important role in Gujarat’s development. He attracted many MNC’s to set up in Gujarat and have introduced SEZ’s by fully utilizing the available resources and developed technology.
