Myall Creek Massacre

The Myall Creek massacre involved the killing of unarmed Aborigines by the European Settlers on the 10 June 1838 in northern New South Wales. About thirty aborigines were killed. This all started when the male Aborigines were working on a neighbouring station at Myall Creek, when they noticed a group of armed stockmen planned to go onto Myall Creek station. They attempted to escape, but it was too late. The gang by John Fleming approached the huts when the Aboriginals were preparing their evening meals and the stockmen herded the defenceless Aboriginal people and tied their hands together with a long rope. Continuously, to that were the whipping and slashing and the death of the helpless Aboriginals. After two days their bodies were cremated by the murderers. It is known that the murderers were brought to justice and executed to death.
