Why Singer’s solution is not persuasive

When it comes to world poverty, the majority of people may think of the phenomenon characterized by disease, malnutrition, anarchy and illiteracy. Such impressions depend on a definite trend that people living in absolute poverty display, nearly 1.4 billion people died every day because different sorts of factors. However, through Singer’s opinion which claims if we allowing someone to die is not intrinsically different from killing someone so we are absolutely murders, there still remains contradiction. Basically, he is taking an extremist view on how we should do to help the less fortunate. There still remains some reasons that cannot be ignored, that is to say, he does not have the position and right to punish everyone, regardless they donate or not.

To be honest, a significant evolution in recent years has been a consensus on ending the world poverty as the overarching intention of development. But the situation is more complicated in that enormous uncertainty principles exist, which causes we are not assured the way that expenses are used. Usually, International aid is raised by kinds of organizations under the name of humanitarianism or helping people in poverty. It is unclearly clarified the specific ways that financial aid usually goes for. There are different teams which work to the quality, timeliness and relevance of national and international statistics that support the World Bank or IMF’s mission to fight poverty, by helping to improve the statistical capacity of client countries and international partners, however, government’s reputation of countries in poverty is still skeptical. Hence, even if we do donations under the name of international responsibility, something about honesty still needs to be considered.
