Social media is an online media that used to create a social network that facilitate each person to share, interact or exchange information. This is a form of social media that is commonly used by people all over the world.

Social networking is an application technology favored by all people, especially teenagers and children. The existence of this social networking site has resulted in a positive or negative impact. The positive impact of social network are we can expand friendship, as a tool of promote advertising, forming a community and exchange information. In addition there is a negative impact of social networking for teenagers and children that makes them forget their responsibilities.

Based on the above statement, the problem to be discussed is about the positive and negative impacts of using social media especially for teenagers and children. Reason for writing this topic that we are all capable of analyzing the positive or negative impact of using social media and be aware to prevent any misuse of social media as a tool of information.

The problem in misuse of social media can effect a negative impacts such as :

1. become addicted

2. make a person unproductive

3. do not care about the environment

4. makes young generation lazy to reading

5. inefficient use of the internet for some people

Those problem proves that the impact of social media depends on the users. Social media is the most easy communication to interact from long distance, to avoid from the bad effects is do not allow it become a daily habit to children or teenagers, because communication is more effective if we do it directly and also need proper guidance from the surrounding...
