“I WILL” – THE POWER OF CHOICE

Do you realise that God has given you the power of choice, a sovereign will which gives you the right to choose whether you believe and obey God or give in to sin and the devil? Just as a king reigns over a country and has the right to allow and disallow things as he pleases, so your life is your kingdom and you choose to obey and do what is right and best for you or choose sin and bondage and misery. God is able and willing to guide us, to enable us to do His will (Phil 2:13) but He will not override your free will! God put Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden but He gave them the choice to obey God and enjoy eternal life or to disobey and reap the consequences of curses, sickness and ultimate death.

When God tells us to do something we should say “I will” not “I should “ and forget about it or “I will do it later”, which never comes.

Passivity leads to captivity! If we are passive in temptation the devil will win and if we consistently give in to the same sin it leads to bondage – demonic control of that area of your life. (John 8:34) “Submit to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.” James 4:7 Let us take a look at some of the areas where...
