The article above illustrates, Spanish banks Santander and BBVA are determined to go on a spending spree in United Stated in order to earn recognition in the country.

Both the banks have a good perspective on the economy of US and made separate marketing decision based on conclusion for promoting their products and services. Countries are classified according to levels of income measured by annual gross national income and this is used to measure purchasing power parity(PPP) (Fletcher et al 2011). These two element calculate on an average the income of a average person in the country. In case of Banks,PPP might not be the ultimate term for understanding the customer base but it does give an idea of the wealth that lies in the country’s residents hands. Both the banks are looking at US as a potential growth area by the virtue of it improving economic conditions.

The article further talks about the infrastructure building both the Banks are undertaking, like the several atms, branches across states and website. Infrastructure generally refers to facilities and services necessary for the functioning of the economy (Fletcher et al 2011). US being a high income country it has the availability and nature of resources that companies need to create and maintain a structure that would reach the client.

To enter the markets of a country requires the adoption on the lifestyle of the countries economy.
