INTRODUCTION

We trust that you have enjoyed your studies so far. This tutorial letter contains feedback on Assignments 01 and 02 and guidelines for preparation for the examination for Semester 2. In Tutorial Letter 101 which you received when you registered for COM3701, two assignments were set. You had to submit Assignment 01 to gain admission to the examination. A maximum of 20% of the marks allocated for Assignment 02 will count towards your final examination mark. REMEMBER: There are various activities in the study guide that serve as self-evaluation exercises in preparation for the examination. We find, however, that students ignore these activities and therefore find the examination difficult. The study guide was written in such a way that it guides you through the work and assists you in answering the questions. Attempt to do all the activities to ensure that you understand the work.
