In this scenario we are going to use the company that we originally started with. In the beginning of the assignment we focused on the history of Ford Motor Company itself. In this assignment we are going to become more involved with one of Ford’s most popular vehicle, the Ford Mustang. This product has become an American legend. It is Fords top selling and longest selling sport vehicle. There have been many different styles of the Mustang but we have come back to the original body style of the vehicle and what it stands for. With this being said we want to give a brief history of the company and identify and explain their various product lines. Describe the product you have chosen for this project and explain how it fits in the product mix of the company. Explain what stage of the product life cycle your chosen product is in and justify my response; Describe the main features of the product’s packaging and analyze the purpose of the packaging features identified; Analyze the potential positive and negative influence of the product’s packaging on the consumers purchasing decision; Describe what you perceive to be the company’s pricing strategies for the product and justify your response; Finally we want to explain the advantages and disadvantages of the pricing strategies the company is utilizing, is the pricing strategy appropriate for where the product is in the products life cycle, why or why not, and how would you change or modify the current pricing strategy?
