Final Project Proposal

Poverty is something we are all familiar with. For many years this nation have been battling with poverty. Giving the many controversy of how poverty is grown throughout the world finding a probable solution to help with poverty has made some chances throughout the years. Poverty is still growing strong. In order to really tackle the issues of a salient issues such as poverty it is imperative to find the root of the issue. In my proposal I will focus on both feminist and post colonialist root to the issue, ethical theories, and my proposed solution.

Since the great depression in 1929 the economy had falling and not till 1933 did the economy start picking up. Then in the early 2000s the US suffered another recession the stock markets was down, and there government benefits was shorten. Many families suffered when the economy went down again. Poverty has been happing for many years. Now in today society poverty is still prevalent. One of the main issues of poverty is the lack of educations that individuals are getting to help better themselves to gain employment to take care of their families. Family’s especially single family homes is finding it hard to make ends meet. With continuing unemployment and increasing costs of living, more and more families have to choose between necessities like health care, child care, and even food. Most low income families are on some type of government benefits to keep them afloat, such as food stamps, Medicaid, or TANF. Feminist views of the root to poverty has many factors. Though low income is the major cause, there are many interrelated facets of this problem.
