Unit overview
Welcome to BUS228 Workplace Law. BUS228 Workplace Law is offered on multiple campuses, both local and offshore. The unit is worth 4 points and is usually completed as part of a Bachelor of Commerce by students enrolled in the Human Resource Management, Management and/or Business Law majors. It is also a popular elective with students in other disciplines.

It includes both a study of the contractual relationship and of Australian legislation applicable to the performance of work. A particular interest is taken in minimum employment standards, regulation of bargaining, dismissal protection, awards, industrial action, occupational health and safety, and workers compensation.
