One of the leading manufacturer in the global market of plastic is Riordan Manufacturing who employs 550 personnel and has a projected annual earning of $46 million. Riordan Manufacturing has several plants, one located in Albany, GA. The Albany plant primary production is plastic beverage containers, the plant in Pontiac, MI produces custom plastic parts, and they also have an oversea plant that is located in Hangzhou, China. Their main office is in San Jose, CA and residing at the main office is their corporate Research and Development Department. The initial parent company Riordan Industries was picked as one of the Fortune 1000 enterprise that has exceeded $1 billion dollars in revenues (Apollo Group, 2013) and Riordan Manufacturing is a subsidiary to Riordan Industries, Inc.

Mr. Hugh McCauley is the COO of Riordan Manufacturing and he has submitted Service Request SR-RM-022 and is requesting that Smith Services Consulting, Inc. and asking that their HR tools that are currently in use by integrated into a single application that uses current technological market trends and implement it into their HR system. Implementing this upgrade will involve collaborating with all of their locations since all sites will be affected. Additional more sophisticated innovated technology is requested to be integrated into their HR department. Once assessed, a business decision will be made to determine the requirements of the new HR system to meet SR-RM-022 requirements and meet Riordan Manufacturing expectations. The initial goal to produce a system design and implementation plan to assure a projected completion date of the project.
