Executive Summary

This paper is intended to shed light on the techniques and data employed for the project “Tender for Single Euro Payments Area engine.” The project, initiated in order to recommend a hardware to process payments, such as wire transfers, under the forthcoming Single European Payments Area regime advised the board to purchase Caeser-Tool. In order to arrive at this recommendation two techniques, namely multi-attribute value analysis and decision trees, have been utilized. In the second part of the paper, the author reviews the used models and decision techniques more generally. In addition, advantages and possible shortcomings are weighted in order to evaluate the usefulness of tools.
