Ethics

Ethical principles are standards of right and wrong describing the kind of behavior an ethical company should and should not engage in. It is the basis of trust and credibility and we have considered only most foundational principles that matter in our case.

The principle of equality says that equal cases should be treated equally and difference in treatment requires that there is a morally relevant difference between cases. This leads to discussion whether it is ethically acceptable to torn the peoples houses down due to the modernization of the harbor.

Another ethical principle is the principle of publicity. It points out the need to analyze how the company’s decisions would look to the public eye. To keep promises and fulfill commitments is not in the accordance with our company’s newly signed global compact. Which leads to failing the test of publicity principle.

Identity

Corporate ethical identity is maintained by managing the public’s awareness of its ethical practices and by representing themselves as a good business risk.

There are two main ethical identity perspectives: visual and cultural. The cultural business perspective addresses all individual workers in an organization as one and highlights a unique organizational culture. We should be aware of the fact that multiple identities can co-exist within a company.

Visual identity plays a significant role in the way an organization presents itself to stakeholders. The visibility in media, due to the harbor modernization will give a distorted portrait of a company’s identity. Signing of the global compact demonstrates that company’s culture is ethically responsible while in reality they don’t act in accordance with this culture.
