Performance Appraisal

The performance appraisal process is a process that all company’s need to have in order to ensure that each employee is steadily growing in their position as well as the company. The performance appraisal process should be one that the employee can learn from and not to be seen as a time for management to bash the employee. With that being said, the best performance appraisal method that Coca-Cola should adapt and use on a yearly basis is the 360-Degree Feedback Method. Linman states, “The primary reason to use this full circle of confidential reviews is to provide the worker with information about his/her performance from multiple perspectives. From this feedback, the worker is able to set goals for self-development which will advance their career and benefit the organization”(Linman, 2012). As with anything there can be negative thoughts or comments that can come out by using this method, but with a company like Coca-Cola, it is obvious that employees will have to work with other departments around the organization, so why not use some of their feedback to support and determine what the next steps should be for the employee.

Training and Development Program

Coca-Cola grows each year and each day it is important that training and development programs are at the top of their priority list. The reason being is because with a company with a reputation like Coca-Cola, it is imperative that employees hired are trained and ready to understand everything the company has to offer and can offer. Mondy states, “Training and Development is the heart of a continuous effort designed to improve employee competency and organizational performance“(Mondy, 2008).
