In recent years e-security has been the major issue of debate. It is consider by previous researches done on the field as the challenge and main problem for the successful implementation of e-commerce. The issue on lack of security is been perceive to be the major reason blocking individuals for doing online business and transaction. Security is one of the main concern and principal that restrict organisations and customers in engaging in electronic transaction. It is on this note that the authors of this article set out to study the influence and interrelations between the factors of individuals’ perceived security of websites in the Business2customers (B2C) or retailing contex.

Specifically this article set out to determine the individual perception on e-security in Malaysia. It is organised in six (6) Sections. Section one (1) discussed briefly on the importance, advantages and benefit of internet particularly on how e-commerce has created revolution in the standard of living and lifestyle of people. Though this section also mentioned that even with the advantages and benefit of e-commerce, there are many issues challenging the worldwide distribution of e-commerce. The section further pointed out the critical factors related to online security such as individuals’ online trust, online satisfaction, online loyalty, perceived value and customers’ online purchase intention. Finally this section mentioned that online security background has been studied by engineering and computer science scholars of which they refer to online security from the objective perspective unlike the social science and management that view it from subjective perspective. Section two focuses on the literature review of which the authors’ idea was towards the general perception of online security. The authors grouped this section in seven (7) subheadings.
