There are 3 MBA programs.

The professional, the online, and the emerging leader.

These people who are taking 3 and 4 courses at a time while working a full time job with additional commitments/activities should be quite frankly “disallowed”. Trying to work with them is a nightmare. You either spin on a dime around their dictated demands and/or “their” schedule, or it does not work out. They don’t want to merge with or consider other students input because they already did what they wanted to do in the “five minutes” they had to squeeze it in and do it and do not have any more time….. People who want to get the program over quickly and thus take a heavy course load should take the emerging leaders MBA program at their desired accelerated pace and not short change their classmates, teammates, and group members in the professional program with their lack of time or ability to meet in person and coordinate together.

Those people with limited time due to their one or two classes, their full time jobs “AND” families or other commitments who cannot get together in person to work on the required group projects should take the MBA online program. The fact that they have families and/or kids to take care of, or if it is inconvenient for them, or they do not have time or interest to make the sacrifices needed to learn how to interact with people in person to get the work done should take the MBA “online” program.

I chose the professional MBA at to interact with people in a class environment in a campus setting and expect group projects to be worked on in groups mostly in person with only “some” phone calls and e-mails.
