The Windows 7 operating system is one that was enhanced with tools that makes it easy to optimize and maintain the system. This guide will be giving you the steps needed for you to use the tools that Windows provides for the many issues that you will be facing when optimizing or maintaining the Windows 7 operating system. In the Windows 7 operating the tools will help you with making the system more efficient and faster performance by using the special features and settings exclusive this operating system, here is how to optimize the windows 7 operating system:
1. For a faster system, the first thing you should try is the performance troubleshooter: this will automatically find and fix problems that might be slowing down the system performance. Click on the start button , type troubleshooting in the search box and select troubleshooting, click performance issues under system and security,
2. In the performance window, click on the advance option and make sure ‘apply repairs automatically’ is selected, then click next.
3. Use the Disk cleanup to remove the temporary and unnecessary files on the system that are not needed and empty the recycle bin, this will free up additional memory and speed up the computer, to stare this process you will:
a. Click start button, type ‘disk cleanup’ into the search box and select disk cleanup to open the window. Select the drive you want to remove files from and click ok. Put a check mark next to the types of files to be deleted, click ok and click delete files to complete the process.
4. Limit the number of programs that runs at startup and in the background while the system is on, too many programs running automatically when the system starts up will make the system slow, and programs running that are not been used also slows the system, some of those programs are those installed by...
