Social Psychology is not only related with the business and academic life, more importantly it is a significant tool for understanding the social life and people's behaviors around us. Because of that as an industrial engineering student I want to analyze people's thoughts and attitudes and use these inferences for creating and maintaining a peaceful and beneficial atmosphere in my business life. These inferences will also be helpful in my social life and relations

Differently from other engineering majors industrial engineering has various aspects and wider fields of study that generally includes interaction between different people and combination of technical knowledge and practical applications. Other engineering departments mostly deal with technical issues like the system operations, programming and manufacturing processes. These fields are also related with the industrial engineers, but our responsibility is not only dealing with the operation of the systems. While achieving this goal industrial engineers are also interested in different departments' and majors' relations and their effects on each other. Addition to these the industrial engineers also work in departments like human resources which is the core of the internal and external relations of the companies. At this point making inferences and interpretations about the people's behaviors and reactions take an essential part. For establishing a healthier and efficient way on these delicate relationships in business life the industrial engineers should have a knowledge about the human behavior, thoughts and feelings. Without this knowledge interpreting and classifying the people's attitudes, relations and perspectives will be very hard.
