Subject: Team Leadership

I have been selected to lead a new team that is going to be introduced to a new department of the company. This department is being introduced because of the company’s entrance into a new market segment. The purpose for this memorandum is to evaluate effective leadership approaches that are appropriate for the team I plan to manage. In order to find the best leadership approaches I have used the Jungian 16-type personality assessment to find positive and negative aspects in everyone’s personality as well as mine.

The results for my personality show that I am people-oriented, creative, and highly optimistic. This is positive for the team because I will be able to keep everyone motivated with my optimism. I am also able to come up with creative ideas to help the team be more efficient and work together beneficially. My score for the Jungian test is ENFP. Rachel Eckman-Knapp is gracious, has good interpersonal skills, and is eager to please. She will be able to work effectively with each member of the team due to her interpersonal skills. She is able to conform to the team in order to be more effective. Her score for the Jungian test is ESFJ. Kimberlee Westbrook is outgoing, visionary, argumentative, has a low tolerance for incompetence, and is often seen as a natural leader. She will be beneficial to the team because she is outgoing and able to share her opinions and ideas to the team. She will be able to delegate and oversee tasks for the team if it is necessary. Her score for the Jungian test is ENTJ. Trista Williams is realistic, logical, analytical, decisive, and has a natural head for business or mechanics. She is a beneficial member to the team because she is able to look at situations with a logical perception. She is able to make decisions based on facts and offer a tactical perception for the team.
