Content: In your project you should answer the following questions:

1. Description:

What is it? How does it work? Who uses it? Why do we need it? When do we use it?

Definition: Health-related information on an individual that conforms to nationally recognized interoperability standards and that can be drawn from multiple sources while being managed, shared, and controlled by the individual.

The PHR is a tool that you can use to collect, track and share past and current information about your health. A PHR is information about your health compiled and maintained by you. This information includes diagnoses, medications, immunizations, family medical histories, and provider contact information. It can be used by you for managing your health, healthcare provider or insurance company.

2. Comparison:

What are the advantages/disadvantages or pros/cons of having it? What is the cost/benefit of using it? Are there different versions/models? If yes, what are the differences among them?

Advantages: Can get access to the information anywhere that has internet connection.

Disadvantages: Building a complete health record takes some time. You have to collect and enter all your health information. You have to keep your record current by updating it each time you see a doctor, fill a prescription, have a test or go to the hospital.

There are 3 different versions: personal computer, internet (web-based or app), Hybrid Personal Computer-Internet.

3. Adoption/Diffusion:

What is the stage of adoption? Is it only an idea? Is it underdevelopment? Is it already in the market? Is it already available in most of the pharmacies/hospitals/clinics?
