Kayden tied the boat off and started to climb the cliffs. He knew that no one had lived to tell what was behind the clouds, but still he climbed. He was getting fatigued as he kept climbing, he wanted to quit, but he knew that he would be disappointed with himself. The air was changing as he climbed higher and higher. His foot slipped as he was pulling himself onto the next rock, he held onto the rock and prayed that he would not fall. He stayed there for about five minutes. He was up couple thousand feet up in the air. He got his footing, calmed down and then continued climbing.

“God, I know I don’t talk to you much, and I’m asking a lot right now but please don’t let me die. I really just want to get to the top unharmed. I ask you to watch over me right now and please give me strength,” he prayed to himself.

He took a deep breath and continued up the cliff. He looked up and saw the very top of the cliff was one more step. As he took that step, he saw something run by his peripheral vision. He stood up and took a victorious fist pump. He suddenly heard a noise that made him paranoid that he was not the only person on the top of the climb. He disregarded the feeling, and he pulled out his iPhone, took a photo of him on top of the cliff, then another photo of the gorgeous view from the top of the world. The sun was glimpsing off the ocean, the light from the sun brighten up the lonely hills, as everything came alive, and the morning dew sparkled like the night stars. Everything was different from beginning of the climb to the end, from the hills to the tiny blades of grass. He turned around, walked towards the forest, then disappeared into the morning mist.

When he reached the stream, he was so sweaty and nasty, so he decided to throw water on his goldish blonde hair. He looked in the clear water, to see if he was bleeding, but he only saw his hazel eyes staring back at him. He stood up and saw a ancient trap, probably left by the natives that lived...
