Work practices are dependent on culture and environment for their successful execution. Explain in detail why that is the case. Also, explain how that might affect the idea of a common standard for performing a giving process. Most work practices tend to be viewed differently by each individual and the success of the practice depends on the background and expertise of the workers. When it comes down to a common standard for a process it’s hard to pick it up and place it in any kind of workplace. It’s a lot of factors that have to be looked at to make sure the process can be performed correctly.

Why is it important to define the smallest number of competency elements for a given role? You do not want to over whelm the person with too many responsibilities. What part of the process would benefit from a smaller number of competencies? I think the design process would benefit the most. What is the general approach of ensuring the shortest list possible? The process of elimination to figure out what and who is need to take the process work.

There are three general factors involved in the tailoring of a correct set of work instructions. What are those and specifically how do resources fit into the consideration for each of these? The context, scope and feasibility. Tailoring is demonstrated by evidence that the tailored practice meets the specific intent of the EBK recommendation.

Feasibility is an important issue in security system formulation. What are the two different dimensions of feasibility that might affect the development of a real-world solution? The first consideration has to be whether they are economically and technically feasible.

Acceptance and understanding are also issues in security system development. How would acceptance and understanding affect the development of a security system?
