The last decade is very extraordinary for China because the experience of the rare natural disasters and epidemic, and international financial crisis. However, China has acquired remarkable achievements on its economic development, too. China’s economic rise has made great impacts on both the domestic and foreign countries, especially in the urbanization process about the improvement of people's living standard, the development of art and education, the success in foreign trade which China’s international status has improved that also has brought more opportunities.

Big effects of economic rise have been drawn to the urbanization process in China. Compared with the progress achieved 10 years ago, China's urbanization process today has been speeded up sharply. More and more country areas have turned to cities, and the population of cities grows rapidly. According to China’s official data, in 2010, the city's population has increased to 666 million which is about 48.6% of the total population of China. However, the economic rise has also caused the decline of environment quality, bringing pollutions to the air, the water and the earth. High urbanization can also result in heavy internal city traffic, making living places noisy and uncomfortable.

Because of the influence of the economic rise, the art and education has been developed a lot in the last decade. Education has gained popularity among the whole country and education facilities have improved, thus the people's cultural level has been advanced day by day. People’s daily cultural lives have become more colorful that all kinds of art activities and entertainment can be found almost everywhere in the city, such as watching films, enjoying concerts and art shows, playing in theme park and so on.
