Evaluating Performance Through Motivation and Conflict Management Organizational

Developing methods to evaluate employee performance, strategies to motivate employees and resolve conflict in the workplace should be an important part of an organization business plan. This paper will discuss how organizations can effectively use these approaches.

Motivation within any organization is very important not only for employees, but for the organization as well. When dealing with an organization, motivation can set the tone of the workplace. Without motivation, an employee’s morale, motivation, productivity, and job performance would be affected. An organization can suffer as well as the employee’s work performance. Because if the employee no longer have that drive to help the organization to move forward this can cause the organization to suffer.

There are many different ways an organization can motivate an employee. For instance, depending on the type of organization and the budget, an organization can offer a day off with pay for completing a major deal, an extra hour for lunch, or maybe a free lunch day if the budget allows. For the organizations that cannot afford to do anything financially, a casual day, a motivational speech, and sometimes just a plain thank you and good job will do.

Conflict is unavoidable in the workplace. Despite the employees’ best intentions and efforts to avoid a conflict, it is inevitable that people will disagree especially in today’s diverse workplace. When this happens the conflict situation must be addressed. Organizations develop strategies to help employees resolve issues when conflict arises. The first step in resolving conflict is to identify the issue or the reason for the conflict.
