Growing up I swore to anyone who would listen that I wouldn’t become the statistic that I saw so many of the young girls around me become, and that statistic is becoming a young single mother. Unfortunately as much as I tried avoid the norm or the trend I fell right into its path.

At the age of seventeen I lost my virginity to my high school sweetheart the one male in my life who promised to never hurt me or leave me broken or alone.
