Investment and benefit of corn germ oil expression.

The traditional technology is whole grain method for alcohol production by corn fermentation. Because the germs with high oil content are mixed in the fermentation, it generates a thick oil layer and the carbon dioxide (generated from the feed liquid fermentation) can not emit in time. This causes acidity increase of fermentation liquor, sugar degree lost increase, incomplete fermentation and affects the yield of alcohol products. In the alcohol plant with corn as raw material, they degerm corns first and then remove the impurities of the raw material and the fat that doesn’t produce alcohol. This can reduce the processing capacity of the alcohol fermentation raw material, the emission load of the lees liquid and the production cost of the alcohol. The germs adopts pressing method and the oil is not polluted. They are green food. This also improves the production efficiency.

Analysis of the total value per day of degerming and oil extraction

The line with corn degerming rate 8%, daily yield 500tons can produce pure germs 40tons(moisture 16%) with oil content 30% of the germs.

If the oil cake residual oil ratio is 8%, then the oil productivity of 40 tons of germs is 22%(30%-8%). Practically, crude oil yield 8.8tons- the moisture volatilization of the crude oil 1.1 tons(12% X8.8tons)=net crude oil 7.7tons(12%=germs moisture 16%-the dregs moisture 4% ).

The market price of the crude oil: 7500 RMB/ton, 7.7X7500=57750 RMB,the market price for daily yield of crude oil: 57750 RMB.

Cost of germ extraction and oil expression

The dregs and the mixed materials are merged and crushed and this doesn’t run off the alcohol yield. DDGS feed, crude fat content keeps 6-8%. This doesn’t affect the feed price, but reduces cost for each section in brewing technology.
