Hernandez 1 Louie Hernandez Bruce Autry English 1301 March 26, 2014 Stupendous Drivers Driving home from work on I-10 on a week night is already not a very fun experience. Having to frequently step on your brakes, being gridlocked, watching the grass grow as traffic steadily moves on up. Traffic by itself is enough to make a normal driver into ticking time bomb ready to explode for any good reason. One specific incident of road rage that I both witnessed and experienced happened not too long ago and it involved several other drivers and I. One blissful night, I was making my daily commute home from work, a little later than usual at around 7:30pm and as usual, the traffic was on and off from different exits on I10. In my rear view mirror, I saw this little car with bright lights driving at an extreme speed that caused me to worry. I tried to get in the outside lane and stay out of its way because the car had a need for speed. Every exit I passed, the closer the car got still serving through traffic. As this car drew closer I noticed it was a 1994 Honda Civic, with a Star Trek Galactic Wing screwed to the trunk. Still speeding past me, it decided to make its experience a little more dangerous. At one point the Honda seemed as though its objective was to get into the HOV lane with two lanes between it and every other car in Houston. Hernandez 2 thought, the driver had to counter steer because of the excessive left turn. The speed racing Honda forgot one thing: to never step on your brakes when making an aggressive turn, but to let off the throttle instead. Next thing you know, this beat up clunker spun into a donut and lost control. Leaving the smell of burnt rubber in the air along with what ever dignity he had left.
