THE RESEARCH PROBLEM

Philippines is an archipelago of more than 7100 islands but significantly poverty is widely experienced by most of the Filipino people and also a haven of rampant poverty cases. Traditionally, the wealthy Filipino families live in large homes in guarded subdivisions while the poor family cannot afford to provide basic essentials such as clothing, shelter, education and medicine for their children.
The need of education for the young enables him to comply the demands of the modern world. Education aims in training intellectual abilities, acquiring moral virtues and developing one’s skills. Education enables the country to become more competitive in any means by providing highly skilled and intellectual people. Health is also a factor to consider when acquiring good education. The real measure of health is not the absence of all disease, but the ability to function effectively within a given environment.
The Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program of the government of the Philippines is a 5-year term program that aims to eradicate poverty cases in the Philippines through investment in education and health. The identified beneficiaries are the poorest among the poor Pilipino families over the country.

Statement of the Problem
The purpose of the study aim to determine the effectiveness of Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program to the beneficiaries in Barangay Marbel, Kidapawan City, North Cotabato.
Specifically, this study attempted to answer the following questions:
1. How 4Ps help the beneficiaries in acquiring basic education?
2. How 4Ps sustain the needs of the beneficiaries in any educational undertaking/...
