I think Optimal Resume can help me in my job search with preliminary skills research by showing how to create resumes and cover letters. Optimal Resume also helps me with video resumes and portfolios along with managing my job search all in one place. I think the fact that I can create a video resume could help with my search with the script option.

I think the first tool that will help me the most would be the new skills assessment because this gives me a chance to express to the potential employer what skills I have and specialize in. The second helpful tool would be the professional created resumes they offer because it would show I am on a professional level and gives me an impressive look. I would make use of the fonts, bullet points, tables, and the resume stylist options within the program. I think it is very helpful that they offer me the option to create my own professional web site in order to market myself for a career.

I can use the sample resumes and cover letters to help create a unique resume and cover letter by using the suggested section sets, categories, and editing their samples. I would also use the tips, samples, and examples tools to help and guide me through. I can also use the samples to show my experience level and it automatically populate on the form for me. I really like that I can change or add sections that I want according to my needs.
