Third world countries are nations that have an inadequate national economies, extremely low gross national income rates, poor living conditions and political and social unrest. There are currently dozens of third world countries that exist around the globe. These countries have significant economic issues and often times, these nations are held back by oppressive political regimes the citizens 

are forced into poor living situations with little hope of a steady job or income. Many of these nations are located in Africa and Asia, but there are also third world countries in the Pacific and Caribbean as well. There are many countries throughout the world that have major economic problems and poor living conditions, however, only the poorest nations are considered to be third world countries. Most of these third world countries depend on international aid and relief efforts to function at even a minimal level.There is a rather large number of third world countries in the world. The most third world countries are located in Africa but there are a number of third world nations scattered about the globe. The list of third world countries includes: Angola, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Congo, Equatorial Guinea, Ethiopia, Guinea, Gambia, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Mali, Mozambique, Rwanda, Sao Tome and Principe, Senegal, Somalia, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Lao PDR, Maldives, Myanmar, Timor-Leste, Yemen, Kiribati, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Haiti, Malawi, Burundi, Niger, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Cote d'Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Benin, Sudan and Uzbekistan.
