Third World Countries

Third world countries are nations that have an inadequate national economies, extremely low gross national income rates, poor living conditions and political and social unrest. There are currently dozens of third world countries that exist around the globe. These countries have significant economic issues and often times, these nations are held back by oppressive political regimes the citizens 

are forced into poor living situations with little hope of a steady job or income. Many of these nations are located in Africa and Asia, but there are also third world countries in the Pacific and Caribbean as well. There are many countries throughout the world that have major economic problems and poor living conditions, however, only the poorest nations are considered to be third world countries.
