First Draft

In politics, there are many weapons that can be labeled as ‘weapons of mass destruction’, and all weapons vary in the amount of damage it could cause to a population. For instance, the Little Boy, which was an atomic bomb dropped by America during World War II on Nagasaki and Hiroshima in (August 6th, 1945) and (August 9th, 1945). The bombing caused a tragic death of more than a 200,000 people and still counting due to the radiation that is left behind after the bombings. But can weapons of mass destruction have to cause direct physical damage like atomic bombs? No one can turn a blind eye to the fact that media is arguably the most powerful weapon ever known to man. As media has the power to brainwash people into making decisions, as it embarks stereotypes that may be true in most occasions. The cartoon corporation that goes by the name of Disney plays a major role in that matter, as it targets younger generations from all around the world, who will inevitably one day turn out to hold many positions in power in the future, so the future of the world is in these children’s hands.

Some may argue that Disney tries to impose a very American-centric/Christian and middle class value system. Also, many agree that Disney is in fact a political organization, as it released many propaganda films in World War II in the 1940’s with their cartoon “Education For Death” when they spread propaganda about the Nazis and Jews. In the present however, Disney have managed to brainwash today’s generation with its well renowned cartoon “Aladdin”.

Let’s go back to the time when “Aladdin” was produced. According to Wikipedia “Aladdin was released on November 25, 1992” (Wikipedia.) which is “coincidentally” a year after The Gulf War as it was mainly fought in 1991.
