I communicate with all my carriers and clerks each day as much as possible whether it is informing them they are working their day off, carrying OT and how much and where, or discussion with them about missed parcel scans, MSP scans or any customer relations. Making sure I do not break the contract with the Union I am always talking to the stewards.

I maintain a positive and safe environment for my carriers by telling carriers thanks for the help from the previous day and recognizing them for their efforts everyday. Making sure carriers have what they need to get their job everyday whether it be 3849s, suresteppers, or gas cards. Talking with the carriers in a respectful manner and relaying positive news about the Post Office and the future of the Postal Service.

Each morning I generate reports from the day before, AVUS, ADVANCE, clockring error report and ect, read over them and address the results with carriers about their productivity and any sort of issues that may be. Making sure CSDRS and CSAW are properly done. Last year most of the city routes 3999 and 1838’s were over a year old. I scheduled and orchestrated count on each route was that was over a year old and completed it in a two moth process. All routes are current and up to date as of November. Last fiscal year we finished the 1600 hours under our allotted base hours.

I have been tasked with being the rural side supervisor. When I took over in January OT has dropped from 160 hours in December to 38 hours in January. I have made sure the routes that are to be counted have been checked and the carriers are aware of what the route count includes.

The Post Office is changing everyday it seems with new types of shipping and changes with express mailings. I keep my carriers up to date on all changes. When the have questions that I am not sure of I found out the answer for them. I feel my carriers have respect for me as I do them, having carried for 10 years prior.
