Wolf of Wall Street could be one of the best movies ever. It has been an absolute hit since it came to theaters. The Wolf of Wall Street is based on the true story of Jordan Belfort's life. Jordan, an average college graduate decides to make the move to Wall Street and take a shot with a job at a well-known Wall Street firm. Jordan moves to the city with his loyal wife and is shocked by all the craziness he sees in the big city and Wall Street but secretly loves it. At first Jordan is almost overwhelmed of how chaotic the life of a stockbroker is but you can see he is intrigued by it also and wants to be part of it. Jordan gets the opportunity to go to lunch with his boss, a multi-billionaire that he later idolizes. At lunch, Jordan's boss tells him about how in order to make it on Wall Street you need two things. One, cocaine to never sleep so you are always on top of your game and two, a lot of casual sex in order to escape from the hectic life. Jordan adopts this lifestyle and becomes a stockbroker that his boss is proud of. Eventually though the stock market crashes, the firm Jordan works for declares bankruptcy and Jordan loses his job. Jordan then takes a job with a low-end company in Long Island selling penny stocks. Jordan is interested because he gets 50% commission on every stock he sells. You immediately see the money signs light up in Jordan's eyes. Jordan becomes the man in the company because of how well he can lie to the investors and get them to buy massive amounts of penny stock. Jordan is driven by money and does not care that what he eventually ends up doing is illegal. Jordan is doing a "pump and dump" scheme which means he himself is buying massive amounts of certain penny stocks which drives the price of the stock up and makes it look like it is doing very well. After artificially raising the prices, he calls investors and tells them how well these certain stocks are doing and gets them to invest massive amounts of money into these stocks...
