Team Work Matters

Introduction

The data that I collected are from the new employment. I just recently started working as a Revenue Auditor for a new casino in my town. When I first started the job, there was so much backed up work that needed to be done. The Auditing department is required to audit every department on the casino on a daily basis. So if work is being undone, that means that things on the casino that does not supposed to happen, probably has happened and no one has seen it, due to the fact that the work is not being reviewed. There are about 5-6 departments on the casino that should be audited on a daily basis. The purpose of this research is to understand how one person not using completing their daily assignments can make it difficult for the entire casino to operate incorrectly. One person not using their time wisely at work can affect the entire team. The secondary data used in this sample consist of 1 executive, 1 office manager, 1 HR director, 1 HR office manager, 1 Finance Director, 1 Finance Supervisor, 1 Compliance Officer, 1 Payroll Accountant, 1 Revenue Auditor supervisor, and 4 Revenue Auditors. The study conducted will show how when one person lacks in his/her job the whole office is affected by the poor work habits. Content analysis measures the semantic content or the aspect of a message. Its breadth makes it a flexible and wide ranging tool that may be used as a stand-alone methodology or a problem-specific technique (Cooper & Schindler).

I started as a Revenue Auditor on Feb. 10, 2014 along with another woman, who was transferred from on the casino as a main banker and a cage worker. We both have to go through training at the same time, which was very difficult, because we were being taught at our own computers by one person.
