Ancient Greece Take Home Test

President Barak Obama

1. When Obama gives speeches, whether while he was a presidential elect or now as president, he always uses rhetoric. While giving speeches he always tries to get to the level of the everyday family. Obama uses rhetoric when speaking of the economy, healthcare, and when speaking of the congress or politics. Obama says he will take the soldiers out of the wars, fix the economy and create more jobs, however he never truly sticks to his policies or what he claims he would fix.

2. Obama is appealing to the black population and working class citizens. If I was able to vote, I would not vote for Obama, because he had very little experience and I believe that he is just a good speaker, but not a very good politician. I was surprised, however, that Obama rarely ever tried to attack McCain. Whenever he was in debates he would thank McCain for being there, and rarely did ever make rude comments to try and attack McCain.

3. The qualities that are most important are that the candidate is intelligent, has experience in politics or the government, and is genuine and trustworthy. I believe Obama is intelligent and has some experience in politics because he was a former senator.

Rick Perry

1. Governor Perry is a top candidate alongside Governor Mitt Romney. Although he is popular, I believe he is one of the least genuine candidates. Perry supports law taxes, reasonable regulations, health care, education, and national security. Perry uses rhetoric quite a lot, especially when he is debating with Mitt Romney. I believe he is in genuine because he does not seem to actually care about the country, but more so just to have the title and the power. I believe he could make some difference he was elected because he does have some experience in politics.

2. Governor Perry is appealing to middle class citizens. Perry would not get my vote because, I do believe he is over confident, and I don’t think he has very much experience....
