I guess I am who I am today goes back to when I was in high school and took on a job as a nursing assistant. I was seventeen and it was my second job that I ever had. I believe having been so young and to work with elders made me appreciate life a lot more then what a normal seventeen year old would. I turned out to be caring and very helpful in assisting anyone in need.

I have been a stay at home mom for ten years. When my husband returned from Iraq he asked if I would be willing to go back to work, of course I said yes. I didn’t have an education nor did I have the skills that would land me a good paying job. It took me about 3 months to find something that I love doing and that is back working for the elderly. To me it is not about the pay, it is about doing something that I love. There is nothing more gratifying knowing I can help someone in need. It means a lot to me to have the family come up to me and tell me how much they appreciates the job that I am doing and the care that there family is receiving. It makes me very happy to wake up and go to work, so often do I hear my friends say how they hate their job and wish they had a new one. This is not me I love my job and wouldn’t want it any other way.
