The organization I chose for my session long project is FedEx. The modern air/ground express industry was pioneered with the founding of Federal Express in 1971 headquartered out of Memphis, Tennessee. The corporation was created in 1998 as FDX Corporation and became FedEx Corporation in January 2000. In 2013, FedEx earned more than 44 billion dollars in revenue thanks to over 300,000 worldwide employees processing more than 10 million shipments for express, ground, freight and expedited delivery services.

FedEx provides customers and businesses worldwide with a broad assortment of transportation, e-commerce and business services. With annual revenues of $44 billion, the company offers integrated business applications through operating companies competing collectively and managed collaboratively, under the respected FedEx brand.
