Abstract

What is a leader? Being in leadership is definitely not an easy task. Some people are born leaders, while others are born to follow. A leader has a duty to inspire their followers and this is done through motivation and inspiring their followers to help others by doing good for others. In order to do this a leader would need skills, principles and fortitude. A leader achieves greatness by being recognized for the achievements they accomplish. A great leader as shown that it is better to be loved and admired by those they lead, then being feared by them. As some leaders in history have done many times in the history of the world, some even thrived to conquer the world itself and some have done horrible things to humanity, such as slavery and genocide. This is still being done in the modern age today.

A True Leader

Throughout history there have been great leaders and there have been tyrants throughout human history. Some chose to lead by example a protect those in need and create a brighter future for future generations. While leaders, also known as tyrants sought to destroy those around them, persecute and commit acts of horror against their fellow man. I needed to find a true leader fact or fiction and in my research I chose a leader, who had the by leadership ability to lead his followers to conquer half of the known world at a very young age. This leader is Alexander the Great. As a leader he created one of the greatest empires in history. As a leader and with no difficulty, in a couple years and far from home he conquered the known world, never losing a battle. A true leader in his own right, he lead his military forces always in the front leading the charge. His leadership not only came from his military prowess, but he was also an educated man, taught the philosopher Aristotle, which in turn created his passion for philosophy.
