Life and Death in the Power of the Tongue

Life and death is in the power of the tongue and can be brought forth by the words, which are spoken. Words are spoken through using of the tongue. Spoken words have been proven to be powerful and to change a course of events in life as well as the world. Words have been the cause of global wars. Cruel words can leave horrible scars on a child’s heart and affect his or her behavior for life. Words can destroy marriages and cause affairs to begin. Kind words can elevate spirits. Inspiring words can cause victories. Once words are verbalize, whichever positive or negative, they become visible, capable of bringing forward in time a physical manifestation of what was spoken, whether good, or bad. Through hearing, the words spoken by the tongue can change the course of life. This paper will demonstrate the power of the words spoken by the tongue’s influence on life.

The power of life or death

The tongue has the power of life or death when used to speak words choices are made in reference to life or death. The tongue could destroy an individual or can give the individual success in life. The heart can be programmed by words. From a biblical perspective, God’s words always have been shown to have power. God formed this world through his spoken word. Words are the most powerful thing in the world. Words such as “I hate you” or “I love you” are very powerful. What effect do they have on individuals?

The effect words have on individuals can influence the emotions, health, and actions of individuals. Words can become self-fulfilled prophecies. Think about it. For instance, if a friend loses a loved one, the individual surely do not want to hurt his or her friend at a time like this. The individual becomes very careful about what he or she says.
