A Guide on Communication and ways of Barriers that could affect it and also ways to overcome the barriers that may occur!

Communication cycle:

1. Idea occurs; this means that you are thinking of what to say and how to say something. You will also be trying to work out which would be the most effective format to use (text, video, by talking) you need to make sure what you’re going to say makes sense.

2. Message is then coded, you need to know who you’re sending the message to or telling the message to, you need to make sure the stuff you will be saying makes sense and is appropriate to the audience. The more detailed your speech/text is the more effective and understood it will be.

3. The message then gets sent, this may be by texting or talking. This may have to be redone or put another way so the speech or text is in detail and appropriate.

4. The message is then received, when the other person has heard or received the text they can take all the information in and put it into their own words so that they can start to understand it.

5. The message is then decoded; the message will be decoded when the other person reads it and is understood in their own way.

6. The message is then understood. Once the message or speech is understood this will either involve more questions or the person will understand everything you have said.

Factors that affect communication:

A sensory deprivation can affect communication because when you explain something to someone who has one or more senses not working they can easily end up mistaking some information and end up passing the wrong thing on, and they might also misunderstand what you have just said to them.
