Coach Rake

Although Coach Rake was demanding, loud, and short tempered, I would have not minded to play for Coach Rake. Coach Rake was very demanding with his players but I think that is a good thing. To win, a coach needs to be demanding to his players to show them the right way to do things. Being loud can be good or bad. However, in Coach Rake’s situation being loud was good because it let his players know that he is in charge and they are to show him respect. Coach Rake being short tempered could have also been a good thing. As long as he wasn’t very short tempered, to the point where he gets angry for the smallest mistake, then he was just being a good, focused coach. All of these characteristics of Coach Rake are essential in a coach if he wants to be a winner and that is why I would want to play for Coach Rake.

I think Coach Rake was very similar to Coach Boone from the movie, “Remember the Titans.” Coach Boon was demanding, loud, and much focused on winning. He always showed respect and wanted the best for his players, much like Coach Rake. Rake was in charge and he made sure his players knew it. Coach Boone said, “This is no democracy. It is a dictatorship. I am the law.” He was just like Rake in making sure his players knew who the boss was. At the end of the day, both of these coaches were similar because they would do whatever it takes to win.
