Animal testing has become the topic of discussion lately, but what are really the facts behind this topic? There are two sides to every argument and in this case it’s who is for or against animal experimentation. It is hard to form a solid opinion with all of these bias sources out there leaning toward or against it. The media will cloud the facts depending on their point of view. It’s hard to form a sold opinion on this matter when learning from biased sources. The argument goes on and on. Determining if animal testing should continue or be banned has become a huge debate topic because there are concerns about the animal’s rights being abused.

Everyday new products come onto the market that our safe, but at what cost. Is the cruelty of animals worth the safety of people? That’s where the debate starts, do we value human life more than animal safety? The answer to these questions determines a person’s position on the matter of if animal testing is right or not. There are a lot of facts and myths that go about with animal testing. The facts are what is important in this and that’s exactly what matters in this discussion. Most skin products and medicines go through animal testing before human drug testing. There are a lot of important things out there that have been tested on animals, but does that make it okay for them to be tested on animals. That is a matter of opinion and determines which side of the debate a person is on. There are no laws protecting animals from this, meaning our government supports animal testing. Also without animal testing, how would we make sure products are safe? There aren’t people lining up to test dangerous drugs. The argument comes up to do it to people on death row, but that’s a whole sub discussion of this topic. What really makes it okay to take animals out of the wild just to test on them.
